La Nucía, Friday 27 March 2026 – Today, Elian’s British School La Nucía celebrates the outstanding academic achievement of its Year 13 student, David P., recognised internationally for his performance as one of the top students in Spain in the International Youth Math Challenge.

David has achieved the distinction of ranking as the third best student in Spain in this prestigious competition.

The International Youth Math Challenge is open to students from Key Stage 4 through to university level. It consists of three demanding stages: qualification, semi-final, and final.

The student successfully progressed to the final stage of the competition. Throughout the process, he competed against students from around the world, including university-level participants.

David ranked within the top 7% worldwide among the best students in Spain in the International Youth Math Challenge. This achievement places him among the leading mathematical talents at an international level.

This achievement reflects his talent, effort, and dedication in the academic field. The competition demands a high level of reasoning and problem-solving skills.
