La Nucía, Monday 5 January 2026 – Today, Elian’s British School celebrates the outstanding academic achievement of its student Rosie, who has been recognised by Cambridge.

Rosie has been awarded the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Award after achieving the highest score in Spain in IGCSE English Language.

This result is particularly remarkable, as Rosie took the exam a year earlier than usual. IGCSE exams are usually taken at the end of Year 11.

However, Rosie and her classmate Zara took the exam a year early. Both students were considered fully prepared by their teacher. They each achieved the maximum grade of 9 in the exam.

Cambridge has confirmed that Rosie’s result was the highest score in the country. This recognition reflects her effort, dedication, and academic excellence

Elian’s British School congratulates Rosie and her family on this exceptional achievement.

The school also highlights the work of its teaching staff in supporting high-achieving students.
