At Elian’s British School of La Nucía we believe a global education should go beyond the curricular subjects. That’s why we’ve designed a programme of extra-curricular activities for all our pupils, so each one can study in depth the area that most interests them — be it art, music, science, sport, or technology.
Combining extracurricular classes with our daily timetabled subjects encourages personal growth by enhancing children’s talents. It also helps them discover new disciplines and allows them to delve deeper into their passions. Even better, the activities are taught in English and Spanish, and are scheduled in different time slots to fit more easily into their schedule.
Our range of extracurricular activities
Our programme of extracurricular activities is designed and taught by a team of professionals who are experienced in the integral development of children. They include elite sports practitioners, coaches, and sports supervisors.
There’s a wide choice of activities, so all students should be able to find something that appeals. Here’s what you can find in the sports section:
- Court and beach volleyball
- Football
- Tenis
- Taekwondo
- Surfskate
- Basketball
- Rhythmic gymnastics
- Jumping
When it comes to dance and the arts, we have:
- Modern dance
- TikTok choreographies
- Ballet
- Ceramics
- Singing
- Theatre
- Painting and drawing
Finally, representing the technology and didactic areas, we’re offering sessions in chess and robotics.

How to enrol your child for extracurricular activities
Any pupil wishing to join our after-school activities can request a tryout session first. This is an excellent opportunity for students to explore their interests and decide which activity best suits their tastes and needs. To arrange a trial class, contact clubslanucia@iepgroup.es for more information and to reserve your place.
Once you’ve decided which extracurricular activities you wish to register for, please complete the enrolment form.
You don’t have to worry about paying separately for your chosen extracurricular activities — they are automatically included in your monthly school bill.
Dining timetable for extra-curricular pupils
From Nursery to Year 6, the dining timetable will be adjusted to ensure that children have enough time to enjoy their lunch. In addition, a monitor will accompany pupils from their extra-curricular activity to the dining hall, ensuring their safe and punctual arrival.
Secondary students will have 15 minutes for lunch at the end of their extracurricular activity.
Uniform
Students may take part in the after-school activity in the uniform they are wearing on that day. If they need any additional accessories — such as trainers, for example — the person in charge of each activity will inform them in advance.
We’re very excited to offer these opportunities to our students, and we encourage you to contact us at clubslanucia@iepgroup.es with any questions you may have about them. For more detailed information, go to the ‘Extracurricular’ section of our school website.
